Explain the differences in the education system between my country and the UK.

Explain the differences in the education system between my country and the UK.

As a comparison of Education System between Libya and the United Kingdom is slightly difference according to some aspects. In Libya the edge when children start to primary school is 6years whereas in the UK start from 5years. However, in the secondary is similar as well as system of exams are similar as well but in high education the system is big different from the lecture. In the UK in some courses there are exams, presentation, essays, group essays and also more and more independent study. Nevertheless, In Libya in high education there are exams, homework and sometime there is mini project. Moreover, the lecturer is tried to explain the idea for student as possible as he can. Hence, when the Libyan students go abroad to the UK they faced plenty of problems such as writing essays and presentation and also they faced another problem which how to use databases in the web site for the university where he or she study as well as they lake of using the Blackboard how can they submit the coursework and so forth.
Furthermore, In the UK the degree is 3years while in Libya the degree is depended on courses. For example, some subjects such Engineering is about 5year at least but in the UK usually is 3years. Nonetheless, it is clear that Education System in Libya is likewise to the United States in plenty of courses such as MSC, Degree and PHD. This system has some good advantages than disadvantages as the system as hard but the result is good for students who will study science  courses.
In last ten years, the Prime Minister decided some new regulation which is shared the high education in some courses such as English Language and MSC, with the UK Education by send thousand of students to the UK to complete their education. As the decisioning made with experts my view is good Opportunity to obtain wide knowledge at English Universities with good teachers who have a massive experience especially native English  staff.

The European Union.

History of the European Union.

EU is stand for European Union. It is a centre for economy and politics.EU
include 27 countries, which are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany,Greece,Hungary,Ireland,Italy,Latvia,Lithuania,Luxembourg,Malta,Netherlands,Romania,Poland,Portugal,Slovakia,Slovenia,Spain,Sweden and United Kingdom. In the early days, EU was just focus on the common trade policies for coal, steel and agriculture in the past. I will say something about EU’s history.
In 1951 the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) was established. It had six members: BelgiumWest Germany, LuxembourgFranceItaly and the Netherlands. The venture was very successful.
In 1957 the ECSC's six members decided to pool other areas of their economies. They signed the Treaties of Rome, creating the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and the European Economic Community (EEC). The members began to remove trade barriers to form a 'common market'.

In 1967 the institutions of the three European Communities - ECSC, EURATOM and EEC - were mergedIn 1970s, Denmark, Ireland the the UK joined the EU. In 1979 the first direct elections to the European Parliament were held - citizens of member states were able to vote for candidates.
Greece joined the EU in 1981. Spain and Portugal are joining in 1986.  In 1995 AustriaFinland and Sweden joined the EU.
On 1 January 2002, the euro was introduced in 12 EU countries
The EU welcomed 10 new countries in 2004: Cyprus, the CzechRepublicEstoniaHungaryLatviaLithuaniaMaltaPolandand Slovakian Slovenia.

The candidate countries, BulgariaCroatiaRomania and Turkey are expected to join in 2007. In my experience, the United Kingdom has decided the right idea and it has advantages more than disadvantages. For example the united King when singed to be one of the countries in the European Union is great idea. According to the economic problems which are now faced the world the UK try to avoid these problems as soon as they can with some helps from the European Union.

The governmeny in the United Kingdom.

Dear PMP Students,
I am writing to you today to answer an important questions about What is the Government and what are politicians? I will discuss the role of an MP and how they are elected etc ,and also What is the Cabinet as well as why is it so important?

The government
Ever country has governed by own system politics. This system has been considering engine of many decisions which are making by people.  Circle politics   consist of a large of names. However, these names have varied from country to country such as Prime Minister, President, parties, Royally and so forth. Thus, it is compulsory for any country have polices system which are called The Government. This piece of writing will illustrate the government in the United Kingdom and

The government in the United Kingdom.

First of all, I would like to commence with a brief about what does mean the United Kingdom? A large of people   does not know this name. Hence, this name is a name used for the four parts which are England, Wales, North Ireland and Scotland. The government in the Great Britain are consisting of Scotland, North Ireland, Wales and England.  It has been governed by several prime minsters such as Margret Thatcher, Leonard James Callaghan, Gordon Brown and Divide Cameron which is now the Prime Minister of the UK. However, the government have different meaning but in Britain has defined as group of politician who have been selected by the monarch which is considering a means to asset run the government departments where there are special Politicians in each department who are responsible for many tasks. For example, transport secretary, Defence secretary, economics secretary, Home office secretary and so forth.
All these ministers come from the House of Commons where the ministers have been arguing some problems and decided new regulation. In addition, all the ministers are belonged to same political party. This means that cannot any minister takes place in the government who is from different party. Thus, the prime Minister is only appointed a member for each department according to his or her experience and educational knowledge.  In other words, the, the most powerful of these politicians is called the Prime Minister as well as some other members of the Cabinet.
In British Politics the Cabinet is comprised of the most senior government members most of them heads of department with a name as mentioned above such as Home Office Secretary and Transporters Secretary. Weekly the Cabinet meets once to discuss the most important issues of the government policy. Ministers Must support the decisions which made by the government. Thus, if any minister cannot support the government policy in public, they must resign. At the meantime, the government has been run by David Cameron which is the Prime Minister. However, this government has called the collation Government. It means mixed parties in the power which will happened when the result of election is quit near from each other. For example, in 2009 the election in the UK was good instance for collation government. Thus, the completion between David Cameron and Gordon Brown was difficult because of the amount of votes are near. As a result, it is compulsory for one of the parties unites with one of the other parties as it likes.
The Prime Minister
The Prime Minister is the head of government who exercising many of the executive purpose nominally empowered in the Sovereign who is the head of state. Also the PM is the monarch’s principle advisor. In general, the PM has the full power but when the government has to decide several controversial issues the PM must be likeable, flexible and malleable. In addition to this, he must be someone whom and know can be professionally guided and also who is willing to leave the business of government in the experts hands who are really have more experience than others.

It is considered that the UK government has special concept than other governments. People have the right to vote to who they like to their PM compared to other nations is slightly different. In fact, franchises for people make the UK runs by appropriate PM. Thus, the government here do care about every one vote to. Hence, I am really delighted to obtain this information about understanding what the government in the UK.

General information about MP in the United kingdom.

Dear PMP Students,
I will illustrate to you a wide of knowledge about MP in the United Kingdom.
MP is stand for a Member of Parliament. Particularly, it is a member of the House of Commons.MP is selected by residents of the districts he/she is represented. If a person wants to be selected to be a MP, one must be a British or the citizen of the Commonwealth nation; one can also from the Republic of Ireland. Candidates must be over 18-year-old, and have not bankrupts before but for some people, residents have to elect them because their positions. Candidates have to pay 500 pounds for deposit before the selecting, if they get 5% of the whole ballot papers, he or she can get the money back, If not the money cannot be get back.

A MP cannot resign his or her job from the House of Commons because they have agreed to serve for the constituency. MP's responsibility is to help residents to live better, anyone who lives in Britain can tell their MP their own problems, and their MP will try to help them to solve the problems. The position of a MP is very important, they scrutinise government by asking minister questions, the tell residents’ problems in their constituency to the ministers. The ways that people contact to their Mps are such a lot.

They can e-mail their MPs; they can write letters to their MPs, they can also meet their MPs in person. If they know their MPs are sitting in the House of Commons, they could go in and wait for them, but the best way is to make an appointment with their MPs in advance when they want to see their MPs. So, both they considered important places for the government.

The Gunpowder Plot in the United Kingdom.

Today,I will present you a story which is called Gun Powder Spot.It is very popular in the United Kingdom.
A period of time when Elizabeth died in 1603,Catholics who had been persecuted under their rules hoped her successor James I could be more tolerant of their religin, but it seemed that the King was not as tolerate as Elizabeth. So a number of young men that were probably 13 person wanted to kill the King and  the Wales princess as well. They planned to blow up the House of Parliament.Under their leadership of Guy Fawes, the 13 people prepared 36 barrels of gunpowders and stored them in a cellar under the House of Lords. It was very clear that this plot would kill many innocent people and also kill those who fight for the right for Catholics. So some of these conspirator had the second thought, they changed their ideas...They sent an anonymous letter to their friend Lord Monteagle, warning him to stay away from the Parliament, but the warning letter reached the King.
The King called his people to kill Guy Fawkes. So this leader was tortured and executed in early hours in 5th November.People were very happy that their King was saved. Thus ,on the very night of November 5th 605,bonfires was alight for the celebration of the safety of the King.People made a dummy which is Guy Fawkes and burned it in effigy. So this day was called The Bonfire Night. So today's Bonfire night we spend has a real story from ancient time.

Bonfire Night is very popular in the south east of England,it also attracts hundred thousand of people all over the world to participate.Children ask money for their parents to buy fireworks to play.Bonfire Night now is not only celebrated in Britain,it's tradition across the oceans.Today,in the night of November 5th,people in New ealand and Canada also celebrate.

Therefore, what about this celebration in Cardiff and also in  Treforest,University of Glamorgan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks.

Dear students,
Education is one of the quality of life because it has really many advantages for people and for the future. Therefore, since I was young, my dream was is to complete my education till higher education which is the level of education. When I graduated in 2004_2005, I used to work at networking railway in my own country for six months. After that, I was planning to go abroad in order to continue study and obtain MSC in development countries such as the US or the UK. I have obtained a scholarship from my government which is for three years in the United Kingdom. I went to Leicester which located in England to start studying English language there from January to July. After six months I have got an offer from the University of Glamorgan. This offer consisted of Premaster and Mater as well. My subject is Surveying Engineering, in MSC I will study Geographical Information System which related to Surveying. In terms of Glamorgan University is good institute to study particularly in Engineering. In addition, as Glamorgan located to Wales, so that Wales is actually nice and modern place especially at the summer.  To sum up, it is recommended that education is important in our life and plays big role to decide your life destination.

First feeling to Wales.

My first impression in Wales.

Dear Students,
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mohamed from Libya, 26 years old. I am studying PMP course at the University of Glamorgan as well as my special subject is (GIS) which stand of Geographic Information System. It is new technology in engineering and also big opportunity for me to study it, but I need to study hard to collect enough knowledge in terms of this course. I used to work at network railway station in my country as an engineer. I have been working in this employment for seven months.

After that I have obtained a scholarship for three years. First year has only particular for learning English language. The second year as a foundation in PMP course and the final year will be studying MSC degree. Therefore, I came here to the United Kingdom to complete me high education.  I used to live in Leicestershire to learn English Language at Demon Fort University. I have been there for six months.

Moving now to Wales, especially the capital city and also the village where I am studying PMP course which called Treforest. Wels is a nice area around the UK. Particularly the country side which are consist of rivers, Meadows and pastures. Cardiff has considered the heart of Wales of saluting the economic and education. When I came here as first time, I was really surprising contrast with other cities in the United Kingdom. For example, Contrast Cardiff to Leicestershire, it is big different. People in Cardiff are more reliable, helpful and friendly to Leicester. Moreover, Cardiff has many beautiful areas, such as Cardiff Castle, National Coal Museum, Dyffryn Gardens and Wales Millennium Centre. In addition, it has huge city centre, as well as Walsh people have own Language which has been considering the second Language to Wales, even they spoken English Language which is the first language they look after their second language. For example,    many sings on the street and different places have been written by English Language and Walsh Language, which indicate that Walsh people are still running this language and look after it. Hence, Wales has a unique impression between all cities in the United Kingdom.

In summary, Cardiff is one of the main direction in the UK, and very important for me to visit, to discover new culture, and also to take pictures which are   big evidence to visit. All these, permit me to have good experience and transfer this experience to my country to knowledge more about welsh people and the United Kingdom. Cardiff is one of the beautiful cities, which I recommended to anybody to visit, and also to explore new culture, different language and massive history in the Great Britain.
