Explain the differences in the education system between my country and the UK.

Explain the differences in the education system between my country and the UK.

As a comparison of Education System between Libya and the United Kingdom is slightly difference according to some aspects. In Libya the edge when children start to primary school is 6years whereas in the UK start from 5years. However, in the secondary is similar as well as system of exams are similar as well but in high education the system is big different from the lecture. In the UK in some courses there are exams, presentation, essays, group essays and also more and more independent study. Nevertheless, In Libya in high education there are exams, homework and sometime there is mini project. Moreover, the lecturer is tried to explain the idea for student as possible as he can. Hence, when the Libyan students go abroad to the UK they faced plenty of problems such as writing essays and presentation and also they faced another problem which how to use databases in the web site for the university where he or she study as well as they lake of using the Blackboard how can they submit the coursework and so forth.
Furthermore, In the UK the degree is 3years while in Libya the degree is depended on courses. For example, some subjects such Engineering is about 5year at least but in the UK usually is 3years. Nonetheless, it is clear that Education System in Libya is likewise to the United States in plenty of courses such as MSC, Degree and PHD. This system has some good advantages than disadvantages as the system as hard but the result is good for students who will study science  courses.
In last ten years, the Prime Minister decided some new regulation which is shared the high education in some courses such as English Language and MSC, with the UK Education by send thousand of students to the UK to complete their education. As the decisioning made with experts my view is good Opportunity to obtain wide knowledge at English Universities with good teachers who have a massive experience especially native English  staff.

The European Union.

History of the European Union.

EU is stand for European Union. It is a centre for economy and politics.EU
include 27 countries, which are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany,Greece,Hungary,Ireland,Italy,Latvia,Lithuania,Luxembourg,Malta,Netherlands,Romania,Poland,Portugal,Slovakia,Slovenia,Spain,Sweden and United Kingdom. In the early days, EU was just focus on the common trade policies for coal, steel and agriculture in the past. I will say something about EU’s history.
In 1951 the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) was established. It had six members: BelgiumWest Germany, LuxembourgFranceItaly and the Netherlands. The venture was very successful.
In 1957 the ECSC's six members decided to pool other areas of their economies. They signed the Treaties of Rome, creating the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and the European Economic Community (EEC). The members began to remove trade barriers to form a 'common market'.

In 1967 the institutions of the three European Communities - ECSC, EURATOM and EEC - were mergedIn 1970s, Denmark, Ireland the the UK joined the EU. In 1979 the first direct elections to the European Parliament were held - citizens of member states were able to vote for candidates.
Greece joined the EU in 1981. Spain and Portugal are joining in 1986.  In 1995 AustriaFinland and Sweden joined the EU.
On 1 January 2002, the euro was introduced in 12 EU countries
The EU welcomed 10 new countries in 2004: Cyprus, the CzechRepublicEstoniaHungaryLatviaLithuaniaMaltaPolandand Slovakian Slovenia.

The candidate countries, BulgariaCroatiaRomania and Turkey are expected to join in 2007. In my experience, the United Kingdom has decided the right idea and it has advantages more than disadvantages. For example the united King when singed to be one of the countries in the European Union is great idea. According to the economic problems which are now faced the world the UK try to avoid these problems as soon as they can with some helps from the European Union.
